RIP Caballo Blanco.

RIP.

In January, True wrote on his Facebook page: "If I were to be remembered for anything at all, I would want that to be that I am/was authentic. No Mas. Run Free!"

  1. Wowwwww. Let's hope he was just feeling /good/, and decided to RUN back to Boulder.

Sadly ... I rather doubt that's it, though.

That IS a great pic ... BTW.

  2. Yeah -- IIRC, you were behind the camera!
I couldn't help but looking up the terrain of where he was staying -- and wishing we could take off as a big group on foot and go looking.

  3. The first thing I thought when I heard about this yesterday was that a big part of "Born to Run" was the author having a hard time finding Caballo Blanco because he WANTED to be missing. Don't think that's the case this time though. Hope it ends wells.

  4. True...Some details, like the fact that his dog was left behind and he's friends with the hotel owner -- are more troubling.
Also, I expected him to be reclusive and shy, but (Alex had the same impression) he was very friendly and talkative, and he seemed very genuine and optimistic.

  5. He is a really good guy. We sat and ate and drank beer with him in the driveway in Leadville and he told us great stories of running adventures. He is a pretty tough guy, I sure hope he's okay. I too wish we could go and help with the search.

Getting grim. I got goosebumps thinking about it.

Agree with Alex. Would love to pitch in and help, if I could....

  7. It did NOT end well.

He's off to the Big Ultra In The Sky.

    RIP, Micah.
