Buena Vista Camp
We opted to stay down low in hopes of warmer temps (versus the higher, alpine camping areas to the West). We lucked out Sunday morning and quickly found a spot along the river, which was well within our monetary budget (free) and my time budget (less than an hour or two) of driving around looking at potential spots and debating the best one. There was some mumbling in camp that, perhaps, it could have been warmer, but it probably got down to just below freezing and the previous days' wind was much more tame. We had another (quiet) party camped maybe 100 yards from us, but otherwise had the place to ourselves, and any sound was drowned out by the Arkansas flowing just below us. Awesome!

Sounds like a great weekend of camping and biking/running. I am looking forward to a summer with lots of camping/running/hiking in the mountains. 1st trip of the summer starts in Vail tomorrow! So glad you're coming.
