I need to get back there.
Glad...What a great idea. I need to get back there.

Glad to have the B&B tip, because I could use a good reasonable place to stay in Santa Fe. When I visited in Feb 2009 I stayed in the mostly empty, somewhat depressing Super 8. Clean, but showing its age. I felt like I was on the run from the law or something. It was $40, what can I say?

I'd go during warmer season next time, since it was icy, cold and probably not as lively and congenial as in warmer months.

Surprise, surprise, I ran part of the Atalaya trail when I visited, and it was a bit slick at the bottom, but I had my spikes. I started pretty late, so I didn't get to the top. As I remember, it was because I had eaten too much for lunch, like I did for every meal there. My stomach was full nonstop for 3 days. LOL.

Liked the Blue Corn Café & Brewery, Tia Sophia's (breakfast), Upper Crust Pizza, Zia Diner, and Santa Fe Baking Co. (breakfast), Sleeping Dog Tavern (beer), Second Street Brewery (beer), The Burrito Company (lunch), the French bakery in the La Fonda hotel (snack). The Blue Corn Café was my favorite New Mexican fare of the trip, although I liked Tia Sophia's red sauce.

Amazingly, I never did a blog post on that trip. How is that even possible? My blogging habits have changed a lot in 1 1/2 years.mtnrunner2https://www.blogger.com/profile/10974435572236740294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-593777137946937666.post-38803816036707470932010-11-29T06:39:58.163-08:002010-11-29T06:39:58.163-08:00Rocking the beard.
